Spathiphyllum Peace Lily

The sturdy, dark green foliage of Spathiphyllum Peace Lily combines well with many other kinds of riparium plants. This plant is also among the most adaptable of riparium selections and will grow well in almost any riparium setup. Various Spathyiphyllum species grow wild in wet areas around rainforest swamps or along mountain streams from Mexico through Central America and much of South America.

Use Spathiphyllum Peace Lily as the dominant foliage feature repeated in several planters among a few other plants, a good option for a biotope riparium with Neotropical fish, or singly as an accent. Spathiphyllum Peace Lily is a good choice for low-light riparium setups. Healthy plants might bloom with the characteristic snow white Peace Lily floral spathe. Spathiphyllum Peace Lily is also a good choice for smaller ripariums. While the foliage of this cultivated variety can reach up to about 20" in height, it is easy to control the plant size by trimming back the largest leaves.
